Definition Poem

The __________

What is a __________?
Its head, small and furry; about the size of your fist;
Its body, covered in hair; many colours and patterns;
Its tail, long as your elbow; pointed up or down;
Its teeth, sharp and pointed; doesn't bite unless it is bothered;
Sleeping, lazily- any table, any chair;
At night, likes to travel; but not too distant;
Likes to sleep and eat; somewhat lazy;
Can live in the wild or in people's homes;
Stubborn, but determined and willed;
Able to survive a fall, a few stories high.

  1. I liked the fact this this poem was so simple, yet very descriptive. I think that you could've made your poem so that the reader would get a different view on the object. (Eg. Instead of saying "Its teeth, sharp and pointed;" you could've said "Its teeth like the blade of a knife;"). I really liked that you not only gave the physical aspect of the object, you also gave the mental aspects of the object. This helps the reader to even better understanding of the object.
    Great work, David!
